My Home Design consultation takes place in your home and helps me to understand what you're looking to achieve and get a sense of what would work well.
I will create a personalised design board for your project to help you visualise the decorating scheme along with a digital mood board and personalised product list.
I'll even place orders for you as well as arranging samples and any measuring appointments you may need.
Since Vicki Kress Interiors was first established, we’ve been located within Grandad’s Shed in the heart of Pocklington. As you may know, Grandad’s Shed is a business I run in partnership with my husband, Tony, specialising in cabinet making, furniture restoration and upholstery with our team of long established craftsmen.
At Vicki Kress Interiors, we employ the services of a full-time curtain and blind maker, three time-serviced upholsterers, five cabinet makers, one French polisher plus Tony Kress who restores antique pieces. In addition, two paint sprayers specialise in transforming kitchens and painting furniture in purpose built spray booths.
Most people think that the advice of a professional interior designer is a luxury that they can't afford, but it's a service just like any other. More often than not, people just need a bit of guidance and a sense of direction to help them achieve the home of their dreams.
I believe individual consultations in client homes are invaluable for inspiring fabrics, furniture design and paint colour choices, giving window treatment advice, deciding how best to use a space, addressing lighting challenges and discussing room décor.
Each appointment lasts about an hour and includes advice about clients' interior design challenges.
