Our next chapter: a warm welcome from Kim, Angus and Matthew

If you have followed Grandad’s Shed for a while, you will remember Vicky and Tony, and the regular stories, ideas and updates they shared. They built a community around the business, and we know that many of you have been part of it for years.

In March 2025, Angus and Kim bought Grandad’s Shed from Vicky and Tony. We wanted to carry that story forward, bringing our own ideas while keeping the personal connection that makes an independent business special.

A little quieter online, busy behind the scenes

We have not shared nearly enough of our journey here. Although our Facebook and Instagram pages have been quieter, the business has been busy with upholstery, interior design and helping customers find furniture for their homes.

Much of that work has come through word of mouth. To everyone who has recommended us, trusted us with a project or continued to support Grandad’s Shed: thank you. Those introductions and conversations have meant a great deal.

Meet Kim, Angus and Matthew

Today, the next chapter is a family effort from Kim, Angus and Matthew. Matthew has been working on regenerating the website, giving our online collections the attention they deserve and creating a fresh way to explore Grandad’s Shed from home.

Our renewed website brings together furniture, lighting, artwork, mirrors and decorative pieces, alongside the larger, more unusual statement pieces that give a room its own personality. Our upholstery and interior design work remains part of the business too.

We want this space, and our social pages, to feel like a conversation: somewhere to share projects, introduce pieces we love and hear what you are looking for.

Making room for the season ahead

Autumn is a lovely time to look at your home with fresh eyes. As evenings draw in, a table lamp can make a reading corner more inviting. A new piece of artwork can bring life to a familiar room. Sometimes a few thoughtful changes are all it takes.

For those looking forward to welcoming family and friends at Christmas, the preparations might be a little bigger: a dining table to gather around, useful storage for the dining room, or a guest bedroom that feels warm and considered.

And then there is the fun of decorating. Our Christmas collection includes smaller festive touches as well as characterful pieces for anyone who enjoys something a little out of the ordinary.

Over the coming weeks we will share ideas for cosy evenings, welcoming guests and bringing personality to your festive home. We will also take you behind the scenes of the work we have been doing.

You are part of our next chapter

Whether you have followed Grandad’s Shed since Vicky and Tony’s days or have only just discovered us, we would love you to be part of what comes next.

Explore our furniture, find inspiration in lighting, or take an early look at our Christmas collection. There is no need to have a whole room planned; sometimes it starts with one piece you love.

What are you hoping to refresh before Christmas: the dining room, a guest bedroom, your living space or simply the decorations? Tell us on Facebook or Instagram, or get in touch. We would love to hear.

Thank you for being here.
