I want to do something a little different on the blog this week. Here in Yorkshire, we've spent the summer busy working on some updates around the home. I'm so excited to share them with you so I'm virtually inviting you inside my home.
So, come on in and take a tour of the updates...
Garden Office Studio
After we worked hard earlier in the year creating my own personal garden studio, the new space was crying out for some quirky warmth. We salvaged a gorgeous seat which was also in need of love. We set about recovering it in a rich patterned velvet fabric. With the faux palm and parrot print from our shop, this little section of my studio is my new favourite space.
If we swing around to the other corner of my studio, I've been working on creating a beautiful and creative space for me to work on your mood boards, projects and blogs. I chose warm textures to compliment the calming lilac walls with some of my favourite accessories dotted around to bring me lots of joy day to day.
I know just how much you love looking at office inspiration so here's another for you to take a look at. You can shop the desk here, the clock here and the copper light here.
Outdoor Updates
I'm still so in love with my outdoor mirror that I've added another one. Outdoor mirrors are brilliant at catching the lights, reflecting gorgeous foliage and making a space feel bigger. Shop these online here and here.
We've also just built a new log store and added a swing to the grassy area in front of it. It's been the perfect place to catch some late summer rays.
Accessory Freshen Ups
I've been swapping out accessories and finishing touches around my home to brighten up the spaces. This is one of my favourite tricks to making a space feel new and exciting without the need for a full overhaul. In a few minutes ta-da, you've got a new space.
In the hallway, I added a new lamp, faux orchid and silver decanter to a side table corner. The colours really complement the gorgeous stag cushion which you can shop here.
Elsewhere there have been more animal additions with this lovely heron print and this set of two wooden ducks. These artificial tulips have been adding a pop of colour that will last and last.
Bathroom Finishing Touches
I've also set about making the bathroom a relaxing place with some extra finishing touches. My new canvas print is available to purchase here. It's called 'Beach Whispers' and there is a definite nod to a coastal look in this room with the natural materials. Take this hanging basket with rope and finished with a faux fern.
My bathroom ladder shelf is not only beautiful storage but also a great place to add trailing faux plants.
Dining Room Additions
The dining room gets a lot more action in autumn and winter so more recently I've been adding in some new accessories to update the room. These natural placemats have been a lovely addition to the room, injecting a touch of texture to the table.
My favourite addition has been these gorgeous bronze resin hares which sit on the mantlepiece. It's been a bestseller with you, too. Click here to shop yours.
