Having previously been impressed with the customer service, advice and showroom displays at Grandad’s Shed; when faced with the daunting task of having to completely renovate and refurbish several of our large multiple room luxury self-catering apartments in the heart of York following a major flood, we immediately turned to Vicki and her team to assist us with the project. Vicki met with us on site for the first of many meetings throughout the project, during which time we discussed our ideas and requirements. Vicki grasped the needs of our project from that very first meeting; she took on board our specifications and injected her creative flair, expertise and ideas to provide us with several beautiful, individual designs full of character and warmth for each room. Working within our budget, Vicki also helped us to adapt a number of original items of sentimental value which we had been able to restore and wanted to use in our rooms. Each and every item supplied by Grandad’s Shed, from the fabrics and soft furnishings to the bespoke handmade items, has been excellent quality. Vicki and her team were enthusiastic and professional throughout the process and were happy to meet with us on multiple occasions to discuss ideas and options and provide further advice. The team at Grandad’s Shed have a fine tuned eye for detail and a genuine passion for what they do - our beautifully refurbished apartments are a testament to that and we are absolutely delighted.”

“When our house was totally renovated it was a complete blank canvas. Decorating and furnishing it from top to bottom was a very daunting prospect and as a working mother, I just didn’t have time to pull it all together. Vicki was just what I needed. She has so much artistic flair and vision and knowledge of colours and fabrics. She pulled together plans for each room in the house with curtains, wall art, furniture - colours and fabrics that I would never have thought of putting together but just worked perfectly. Vicki also supplied us with some fabulous wood furniture - fitted wardrobes in my son’s room and a gorgeous window seat with incorporated bookcase for my daughter’s bedroom. Such great quality and completely bespoke. Vicki’s a joy to work with. She has an infectious passion for her work. Her knowledge of products and where to buy them saved us so much time and money. We are absolutely delighted with our house and couldn’t recommend Vicki enough.”
